The Post with me discussing the beginning of my weekend
First off, in mentioning the wedding I attended I believe I forgot to mention Marie. She was there and it was great to see her again. Some of my favorite moments in college are sitting in classes with her and making fun of teachers and other students. Glad you're doing so well Marie.

Now the rest of my weekend. I went to Newtown to visit with my buddy Frank on Friday night and we hit the theater to see Silent Hill (the most beautifully shot, average horror movie I've ever seen). Afterwards we snuck into The Sentinnel (a good but run of the mill suspense film). They had people handing out questionnaires about the film and most of my answers had to do with my hero Kiefer Sutherland. PLus there was some annoying guy there who almost fell hurdling the railing than kept talking and standing in front of the screen during the movie.

Afterwards we grabbed some food, I had a rumbling stomach so I bought some chili. Then we watched Oz as Frank introduced me to the Oz drinking game (which could be extremely dangerous in large doses).

Saturday we picked up a buddy of his at the train station and then went to the Ring of Honor 100th show as they were battling Combat Zone Wrestling (a rival promotion in Philadelphia who they've been fighting with as of late). Boy what a crazy night of action.

(Before we begin I'm leaving out the Chris Hero interview, the top of the student class match, and the Jiim Cornette/John Zandig debate----ROH Commissioner, CZW owner respectively.

    First off

"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels wrestled Claudio Castagnoli. Castagnoli is a pretty good wrestler who was aligned with CZW but in the feud was siding with ROH. This is Daniels.

Castagnoli tried his best to win, even holding Daniels up in a 75 second suplex.

In the end though Daniels won with a roll-up. Afterwards Daniels actually followed the Code of Honor and shook hands with Castagnoli and procliamed him the future of ROH.

The second match saw a 4 corner survival match which pitted Jimmy Yang vs Jimmy Rave vs Jimmy Jacobs vs Delirious.

Before the match the crowd kept with tradition and threw rolls of toilet paper at Jimmy Rave during his entrance.

Jimmy Jacobs then entered with the huge picture of his crush Lacey:

The crowd got into the match by chanting, "Let's go Jimmy"

Jacobs did all he could to win first stomping Delirious in the corner...

Then Yang chopped him in the corner. In the end though Delirious got the win.

The third match of the evening was the Ring of Honor Tag Title match as Austin Aries and Roderick Strong (c) wrestled Homicide & Ricky Reyes (The Rottweilers)

It was a hard hitting affair.

Homicide beat down Aries then admired his work some

Aries would get his revenge by going for the suicide dive through the ropes onto Homicide

Homicide then went after Roderick Strong by stomping him through a table at ringside...

but Strong came back with a spin kick to the chest

In the end Reyes had Strong in his submission move looking for the win but Strong moved out of it and Aries came off the top with his 450 splash to keep the belts.

After that, the Ring of Honor heavyweight title was on the line as American Dragon Bryan Danielson (whose entrance music is The Final Countdown) wrestled Classic Colt Cabana (whose entrance music is Copacabana.)

This was basically the highlight of the match as Danielson suprised Cabana with a quick rollup in 5 minutes

After intermission, Danielson came back out and challenged a winner from the first half of the show, and since he had beaten the other guys the match was offered to Delirious. After a gibberish speech (that's how he talks) which ended with him saying "for the belt" over and over to the tune of The Final Countdown, he accepted the match.

Delirious probably regretted accepting as Danielson abused him throughout the match. First with a surfboard type submission move

    Then with a curb stomp

Then he picked up Delirious in what everyone thought was going to be an airplane spin

but instead he threw Delirious head first into the ringpost opening up a huge gash on his forehead which led to this

Danielson hit him with a super belly-to-back suplex and then battered Delirious until the ref called the fight since Delirious could offer no defense anymore.

Then a match I really looked forward to as The Briscoe Brothers wrestled Matt Sydal and A.J. Styles (considered the best wrestler going today by many. The Briscoes were focused and ready to fight

They even blocked Styles move the Styles Clash with a dropkick to the face

A.J. came back by dropping a knee into the head of Jay Briscoe

He also dove to ringside on the Brothers

Matt Sydal chose to do his flying in the ring with a high cross body out of a neckbreaker

One of the Briscoes countered with a suplex of his own

A.J. tried to counter with a dropkick

The Briscoes hit this sweet looking springboard doomsday device before hitting a stuff Jay driller for the win in what was the match of the night

The ROH vs CZW battle was the fight of the night as Team ROH (Samoa Joe, BJ Whitmer, & Adam Pierce) fought with Team CZW (Chris Hero, Super Dragon, & Necrobutcher. The crowd was white hot for this match..CZW fans were on one side of the ring with ROH fans on the other and not a one sat during this match.

    Now Necrobutcher is crazy...

    ..but so is Samoa Joe

and it didn't take long til they were battling with each other.

Whitmer and Joe double suplexed Dragon on the floor which gave them an early advantage

Necrobutcher would help his partner out by wrapping a chair around the head of Whitmer and bashing it with another chair

Super Dragon recovered enough to then stomp on Whitmer's head while it was trapped against the steel chair

Joe helped out Whitmer by placing two chairs back to back and suplexed Necrobutcher onto them.

Adam Pierce took a chairshot from Necrobutcher which opened him up pretty bad...

...but not bad enough he couldn't sneak up behind Hero to deliver a beating

CZW regained control again as Super Dragon gave Whitmer the Super Psycho Driver through a table at ringside.

The difference in the match though was Claudio Castagnoli coming out and turning on ROH to join up with his usual tag team partner Hero and screw ROH out of a victory

CZW celebrated in the crowd with their fans as the ROH fans (some of them) sat silently stunned at the turn of events

While CZW celebrated, ROH tended to their wounds and later issued a challenge for July 15th when they return to the National Guard Armory

Probably the hottest crowd I've ever been apart of. Might be the best card I've ever seen live from ROH too.

    I can't wait til the 15th.

Also thanks to Frank for being such a good host again

The Post with a story and part of my weekend
Today on the phone with a customer and I was spelling something for him, in spelling the word (Asheboro)at the end I say "R-O" and his response, "You mean like the letter O?" First thing I think is What other O could I possibly fucking mean? (First thing I think , not say). I explained it to him and he was ok with it then. What a MO-RON

Yesterday I had the big wedding of Harry Turner and Victoria Zambito to attend and it was a lovely affair. The wedding was strange in a way becasue the priest gave this really odd, ominous sounding sermon about marriage which had a good point to it but the way he said it was strange to listen to.

Afterwards we went to the Eden Resort and what a swank place that was. Big courtyard inside where the wedding was, with rooms overlooking the courtyard. People were actually sitting on their balconies watching the event. I finally got to meet J.J.'s wife and she was a swell person, even buying me a drink after I objected to a cash bar. Very nice lady you got there JJ. It's always good to be around JJ as well.

Matthias was there and it's the first time I've actually seen him in almost two years. Talking online at night just doesn't do the man justice. He brought along a woman named Paige who was awesome as well and seemed to have a good time, even learnign some new dance moves which are sure to get goofy looks in the future. Remember, you need to feel "The Sprinkler" you can't just do it.

Craig and Andrew were taping the event and did a good job as far as I could tell. Two more fun people to be around.

Our table led the charge in clinking(?) glasses to make the couple kiss and the wait til they take a bite to eat strategy worked to a tee. JJ also broke a glass which made me laugh incessantly. Not quite as much as I laughed at prank calling a hotel guest but pretty close. Harry and I broke out the happy feet dance and they played a nice mix of classic stuff, with some current pop, and country. Can't argue with the music.

All in all it was a fun affair and I wish there were more times I could get together as a group with those people since I always have a good time.

Congrats to you Harry and Vicki--you know I wish you guys nothing but the best.

I'll post about the beginning of my weekend tomorrow night hopefully.

The Post with me asking my readers for help
I am asking all my readers for help in swaying someone.

I have a friend who is having a problem. It's an easily accrued problem but is extremely hard to get rid of. It's one that I never had, then had badly, now sort of still have but am finding my way out of. And I feel the need to help him out of this rut.

See there is an event coming up that he needs this problem fixed for, plus in general its not good to have this problem at his age since there is a lot of living left to do.

I told him this summer was going to be about working on said problem to rid him of it, but he hemmed and hawed at every turn and pretty much stonewalled the idea. But I never ever quit.

I think he doesn't have faith we can fix the problem. I promised him to put his fate in my hands and let me help.

My readers--reassure him that this is his best method of fixing this problem. Tel him Hansley is a doer who will get the problem fixed for him, or at the very least point him the right way and start him in that direction.

Tell him to have a little faith.

The new year, new me wants to do everything I can to help.

The Post with a brief weekend recap
My plans to do anything this weekend were executed differently than what I originally planned.

Thursday night my hockey game got switched from 7:30 to 9:30. Til I got home it was 11:30 so I wasn't really feeling like going anywhere at midnight.

Friday I was goign to visit my old work place but I wasn't feeling great so after some time at the gym I came home and slept my afternoon away. Then I went to the movies Friday night.

Last night I decided to go up to the campground where our camping group was and drank a lot of beer.

Now today is church and then dinner with my grammy at the retirement home....That's the only day that is turning out to be as originally planned

The Post with 2 more clues for JJ
JJ, Here comes two more clues for you as to the name of the movie I'm thinking of in my previous post. All are invited to play though

    1. The final scene of the movie contains characters from 3 different television shows since they are under the same umbrella.

    2. The final scene also had the two main characters finally tie the knot---after years of the one obsessing over the other. They married during a Broadway musical

    Good luck

The Post with some more work stuff
A couple funny things that have either occurred or I've thought of this week at work.

I started answering phones and doing up orders for people and I got two phone calls in a row yesterday from women with southern accents. My trainer noticed my ear to ear smile and said to me, "You either really love talking on the phone or talking to women on the phone." I said neither really. She looked perplexed so I explained, "I'm a country boy so I'm a sucker for a girl with a southern accent." Today I got a phone call from a woman from Georgia who ounded like Scarlett O'Hara....I predict I'll have to rub one out one day before to long--Sorry for the graphic image but gotta do what you gotta do.

Then today I was on the phone with some lady (from New Hampshire so no accent) and answered a bunch of her questions. She must've forgot my name in the course of things as she says, "Thank you for your help Eric." I laughed becasue ironically enough Eric was what my name was going to originally be before they named me after my dad, and Eric is ultimately what they named my brother.

Then today there was a phone call frmo a sales rep for an order. They must pathc the call to everyone on the chain of command and the call went like this, "This is Bill and I'm sending this message to Phil and Jill." It reminded me of a movie from my youth that one of you might be able to identify.

Since I know some of you will be blank on this I give you three hints.

    1. The movie filmed a scene at a well known spot in New York City.

    2. The people named phil and jill in the movie are met by the lead character as he thinks he is in their same profession.

    3. There was a dream sequence filmed in the movie that spun off into a popular kids saturday morning television show.

    Good luck
